Nouveau Réalisme is thoughtfully crafted 18k gold vermeil, inset with black onyx. The pendant, measuring 28mm across and 8mm thick, inset with a stone measuring 22mm across, is elegantly balanced upon a 50cm long and 1mm thick box chain. Please note, all stones are natural gemstones and will present variations in color and pattern.
Brancusi’s infamous 1929 portrait of James Joyce dwells on the evocation of fragmented emotion. This artwork presents a spiral at its centre, separated by three abstract lines; a juxtaposition that inspired the Nouveau Réalisme necklace. The deepness of the black onyx gemstone adds a unique flair, which helps to highlight the synchronicity of the infinite and the intangible; a sentiment that Brancusi explored in his work.
All of the materials that Dévé use in their jewelry are ethically and sustainably sourced using RJC approved gold and predominantly recycled silver. Their products are cast, assembled and plated in Thailand.
