Wish You Were Here Silk Scarf

Wish You Were Here is the limited edition silk version of Sable's very first bandana. They took inspiration from vintage souvenir bandanas and surrealist paintings by Salvador Dali and Leonor Fini. The central photograph perfectly illustrates Sable's ethos: “Out of the prairie, into dreamland.”

For this collection’s theme of rebirth, Sable subverted symbols from the designer's upbringing and gave them new meaning. Balancing masculinity and femininity, snakes are a traditional symbol of both fertility and death. Their ability to shed their skin echoes our central image. In the background you can find moths and skulls, which recall transformation and the stages of life. Designed in collaboration with artist Zoe Kasten (@zoeredleaf).
